Vikram Solar to add 9GW wafer/ingot capacity at Tamil Nadu hub

Vikram Solar has announced plans to establish a 9GW wafer and ingot manufacturing facility at its Gangaikondan, Tamil Nadu, solar manufacturing hub. The expansion will integrate the solar value chain from ingot to module under one roof, reducing import dependence and strengthening domestic supply chains. The facility will complement the company’s existing 6GW module and cell manufacturing operations, supporting India’s renewable energy and self-reliance goals.
