US slaps 126% duty on solar imports, Indian manufacturers shrug it off
The US Department of Commerce has imposed preliminary countervailing duties of 125.8% on solar cell and module imports from India. While exports to the US reached 2.3 GW in 2024, Indian manufacturers remain unfazed, citing alternative markets and strong domestic demand, as trade negotiations continue ahead of a final decision in July.
