TN signs Rs 1,000-crore MoU with Hitachi Energy for tech expansion

Hitachi Energy has signed an MoU with the Tamil Nadu Government for a ₹1,000 crore expansion plan covering its Global Technology and Innovation Centre in Chennai and manufacturing facility in Chengalpattu. The investment, planned over the next three to five years, is expected to create around 1,000 high-quality technology jobs and strengthen Tamil Nadu’s power technology, innovation, and advanced manufacturing ecosystem.
