TN govt wants private players to operate 500 new e-buses; plans to re-float tender

The Tamil Nadu government plans to re-float a tender for operating 500 electric buses in Chennai, Madurai and Coimbatore under the Gross Cost Contract (GCC) model, where private players will procure, own and operate the buses while sharing revenue with state transport corporations.
