Thirteen States formulate green hydrogen policies; four in final stages: MNRE
Thirteen Indian states have formulated green hydrogen policies, while four more are in the final stages, according to the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy. Six states have already notified dedicated policies, and seven have integrated hydrogen frameworks into existing energy plans. The government also launched the Green Hydrogen Certification Portal of India to ensure transparent certification and regulatory compliance, supporting the National Green Hydrogen Mission and accelerating India’s clean energy transition.
