Thermax and Ankur Scientific launch India’s pioneering green methanol facility at Deendayal Port

Thermax and Ankur Scientific have launched India’s first green methanol production facility at Deendayal Port to support sustainable maritime fuel adoption. The plant will produce up to 18,000 tonnes of green methanol annually using biomass-based gasification technology. The project is expected to meet nearly half of India’s projected maritime methanol demand by 2030 and strengthen the country’s clean shipping and decarbonisation goals.
