Tamil Nadu signs pacts for $1.58 billion in new projects by overseas investors

Tamil Nadu has signed agreements worth ₹15,050 crore ($1.58 billion) for 16 projects by overseas investors, including Saint-Gobain and Super Micro Computer, as part of a broader investment drive. Saint-Gobain will invest ₹2,000 crore in a new plant and Kanchipuram expansion, while Daimler India Commercial Vehicles plans ₹4,000 crore for its Chennai facility. The projects are expected to strengthen manufacturing capacity and create significant employment opportunities across the state.
