Tamil Nadu govt signs MoU with Vikram Solar for ₹15,037 crore BESS plant in Tirunelveli
The Tamil Nadu Government has signed an MoU with Vikram Solar to establish a ₹15,037 crore Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) manufacturing plant at SIPCOT Industrial Park, Gangaikondan, Tirunelveli. The project is expected to create 2,670 direct and indirect jobs, strengthen the state's clean energy manufacturing ecosystem, attract significant investments, and reinforce Tamil Nadu's position as a leading hub for renewable energy and advanced battery manufacturing.
