Swelect’s new CEO shelves cell project, plans BESS foray
Swelect Energy Systems, under new CEO Dr. Arul Shanmugasundaram, has shelved its solar cell project and will partner with a domestic cell supplier. The company plans to double its Coimbatore module plant to 2 GW and foray into Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), targeting MSMEs. Solar modules, BESS, and IPP operations will form Swelect’s growth pillars, aiming for tenfold solar farm expansion by 2027.
