Sugar industry renews push for dedicated E100 fuel pumps

The Indian Sugar & Bio-Energy Manufacturers Association (ISMA) has renewed its push for dedicated E100 ethanol fuel pumps to accelerate flex-fuel vehicle adoption and support the biofuel industry. The proposal seeks permission for ethanol distilleries and sugar biorefineries to establish dedicated dispensing infrastructure, reducing dependence on fuel depots for blending. The move is expected to strengthen ethanol utilisation, improve logistics efficiency, and advance India’s clean mobility goals.
