SRF Ltd announces ₹600 crore aluminium foil manufacturing plant in Madhya Pradesh for battery applications

SRF Limited’s board approved a ₹600 crore investment on 21 October 2026 for a battery-grade aluminium foil plant at Jetapur, Madhya Pradesh, to be run by subsidiary SRF Altech. The 12,000 tonnes-per-year facility will serve lithium-ion and sodium-ion batteries used in EVs and energy storage. It will be built in two ₹300 crore phases, due by September 2028 and September 2030. SRF also reported a 31% rise in Q2 profit.
