Space gets ₹1,000-cr more, allocation for space sciences quadrupled
The Union Budget has increased capital expenditure for the space sector by ₹1,066 crore, with ‘space sciences’ receiving the biggest boost. Allocation for space sciences capex has risen over four-fold to ₹428.31 crore, while revenue expenditure has increased 65 per cent, underscoring the government’s focus on advanced research and scientific capability in the space domain.
