SEZs say DTA duty relief ‘too narrow’, 80% of supplies see little benefit

Special Economic Zones units have raised concerns over limited benefits from recent DTA duty relief, stating nearly 80% of supplies remain outside the concessional framework. The Export Promotion Council for EOUs and SEZs has urged the Ministry of Commerce and Industry to widen coverage, extend tenure, and increase the sales cap to improve ease of doing business and domestic market access.
