Semiconductor ecosystem will take time to build: Ajit Manocha of SEMI
At Semicon India 2025, SEMI CEO Ajit Manocha said India’s semiconductor ecosystem will take 4–5 years to mature despite strong policy support, capital, and national need. He highlighted semiconductors’ role in economic security and noted PM Modi’s backing of the India Semiconductor Mission, stressing that India began late but is on the right track.
