SCM Garments to set up a unit at Mannargudi

SCM Garments, part of The Chennai Silks Group, will set up a knitted garments manufacturing unit in Mannargudi, Tamil Nadu, under an MoU with the state government. The first phase involves a ₹50 crore investment and is expected to create 2,500 jobs, primarily for rural women, expanding SCM’s global production network of 15 million units monthly.
