UK-based SCI Semiconductors has shown interest in setting up a Global Capability Centre (GCC) in Bengaluru to support local manufacturing of hardware-secured microprocessors for computer-security applications. Karnataka Industries Minister M B Patil highlighted full government support and ongoing discussions with other firms, including Samco Holdings and ARM Semiconductors, to boost investments in semiconductors, renewable energy, ethanol, and battery manufacturing.
