Relaxation to SEZ units on domestic sales will be a limited-time window : Revenue Secretary

Revenue Secretary Arvind Shrivastava clarified that the Budget-proposed relaxation allowing SEZ units to sell in the domestic market will be a one-time, limited-duration measure. Aimed at helping export-oriented units manage global trade uncertainties, the move will permit eligible manufacturing units to sell a prescribed portion of output in the DTA at concessional duty rates, while maintaining SEZs’ export focus.
