Panel on SEZ policy reforms to evaluate impact, conduct cost-benefit analysis

The government has set up a panel to review SEZ policy reforms, evaluating fiscal impact, revenue, and cost-benefit outcomes of measures including the domestic sales relaxation announced in Union Budget 2026-27. The committee will recommend short-, medium-, and long-term legal and procedural reforms, amendments to SEZ Act/Rules, and an implementation roadmap to enhance manufacturing competitiveness and boost investment and exports.
