NTPC to set up coal-to-SNG project at Rs 10,000 crore capex in Chhattisgarh
NTPC plans a ₹10,000 crore coal-to-synthetic natural gas (SNG) facility at Talaipalli in Chhattisgarh, aiming to convert high-ash domestic coal into cleaner fuel. The 5-lakh tonne per year project will involve advanced gasification technology with international tie-ups, enhancing energy security, reducing import dependence and supporting broader industrial applications of syngas.
