NITI Aayog suggests setting up of national agency to implement green transition for MSMEs
NITI Aayog has recommended the creation of a National Project Management Agency (NPMA) to drive the green energy transition for MSMEs, which contributed 135 million tonnes of carbon emissions in 2022. The NPMA would oversee implementation, engage with MSME clusters, and be guided by an inter-ministerial committee, supporting India’s goal of achieving net-zero emissions by 2070.
