MeitY working on tech to maximise recovery of rare earth materials through waste recycling

MeitY is developing technologies to recover rare earth materials through waste recycling, led by its research arm C-MET, Hyderabad. MeitY Secretary S. Krishnan said some of these technologies have been shared with the private sector. The Ministry of Mines has also been asked to support recycling efforts to boost India’s electronics component manufacturing ecosystem.
