Maruti Suzuki has commissioned a 300 kW pilot green hydrogen electrolyser plant at its Manesar facility, its first. Hydrogen produced from surplus solar power, especially on holidays, is stored and blended with natural gas as process fuel in manufacturing. The company plans to scale it across Haryana and Gujarat plants and aims to cut its manufacturing carbon footprint from 615,000 to 266,000 tonnes by FY 2030-31.
