Kamarajar Port is set to submit the DPR for the ₹1 lakh crore Great Nicobar International Container Transshipment Port at Galathea Bay. The first two phases will see ₹44,000 crore invested to build 11 million TEU capacity over 3-4 years. Strategically located near major shipping routes, the project aims to reduce India’s dependence on foreign transshipment ports.
