Japan’s Tsugami inaugurates assembly plant and foundry at Chennai

Japanese machine tool maker Tsugami has inaugurated a ₹300-crore assembly and foundry facility in Oragadam, Chennai. The plant will manufacture high-precision CNC machines for sectors including mobile phones, automotive, aerospace, and medical devices. Serving clients such as Apple and Samsung, the Chennai facility becomes Tsugami’s third global plant, joining operations in Japan and China.
