Japan's OMRON begins production of blood pressure monitors at first India plant in Tamil Nadu

Japan’s OMRON Healthcare has begun full-scale blood pressure monitor production at its first factory in India, located at ORIGINS by Mahindra near Chennai in Tamil Nadu. The 24,000-square-metre plant has five production lines and initially serves the Indian market. The company plans to raise output tenfold by 2028 and use Chennai as an export base. It also intends to start making nebulisers, supporting the Make in India push.
