Indian Oil Corporation plans a ₹1 lakh crore investment to build an 18 GW renewable energy portfolio by 2030, acquiring 12 GW and developing 6 GW organically. The move marks a strategic shift from refining to green energy, including solar, wind, biofuels, and green hydrogen. IOCL also aims to list its subsidiary Terra Clean by 2027-28.
