India’s global chemical sector share to increase to 5-6% by 2030
India’s chemical sector is set to expand its global share to 5–6% by 2030 and reach $1 trillion turnover by 2040, says Union Minister JP Nadda. With Bio-Pharma SHAKTI, three dedicated chemical parks, and Rs 13,000 crore budget support, India aims to boost biologics, biosimilars, and innovation, enhancing research capacity, reducing costs, and strengthening regulatory and talent ecosystems.
