India’s Electronics Component Manufacturing Scheme (ECMS) has secured ₹1.15 lakh crore in investment commitments—nearly double its target—with 249 applications projecting ₹10.3 lakh crore in production and 1.41 lakh jobs. Around 60% of applicants are MSMEs. The scheme aims to deepen domestic value addition, develop passive and active components, and strengthen India’s integration into global electronics supply chains.
