India’s data centre capacity to double in 3 years: Crisil report

India’s data centre capacity is set to double to 2.3–2.5 GW by March 2028, with annual revenues projected to reach ₹20,000 crore, according to Crisil. Driven by enterprise cloud adoption, AI investments, and 5G proliferation, the sector will see 1.1–1.3 GW of new capacity added between 2026–2028, supported by stable cash flows and strong utilisation of 90–95 %.
