India deepens its textile PLI bet with 17 fresh approvals

India has approved 17 new companies under the third round of the Textile PLI Scheme, unlocking ₹2,374 crore in investments and creating over 22,600 jobs. The projects aim to boost manufacturing capacity in MMF apparel, MMF fabrics, and technical textiles, enhancing India’s global competitiveness. With earlier rounds, a total of 74 applicants is now supported under the scheme.
