India’s data centre capacity has crossed 1.5 GW, with Mumbai hosting 53% of it, according to CBRE. Capacity growth is driven by digitalisation, AI adoption, favourable policies, and corporate investments. Since 2019, India has attracted nearly USD 94 billion in data centre investments, with Telangana, Maharashtra, and Tamil Nadu emerging as top destinations.
