Hero Cycles Secures Tamil Nadu Government Bicycle Supply Tender

Hero Cycles has been selected to supply bicycles under Tamil Nadu’s free bicycle scheme for students in government and government-aided schools, covering about 5.32 lakh students. The state has allocated ₹277 crore, but the winning bid reportedly exceeds the budget by around ₹115 crore, with an additional allocation under consideration that would take total funding to roughly ₹392 crore. The scheme aims to ease students’ travel to school.
