Grasim Industries to invest ₹3,094 cr to add 1.10 lakh tpa Lyocell capacity in Karnataka

Grasim Industries (Aditya Birla Group) will invest ₹3,094 crore to add 1.10 lakh tonne per annum of Lyocell fibre capacity at Harihar, Karnataka — comprising two lines of 55,000 tpa each, commissioned by 2028 and 2030 respectively. This Phase II expansion complements a Phase I plant of 55,000 tpa currently under construction, expected to be commissioned by mid-2027.
