Govt to fast-track next round of India Semiconductor Mission
India plans to launch India Semiconductor Mission 2.0 by October-end, expanding incentives across the entire chip value chain. The new scheme may double funding to $20 billion, covering fabs, advanced packaging, design, MSMEs, and supply chains. ISM 1.0’s ₹65,000 crore outlay is nearly exhausted, with industry feedback driving broader support and faster approvals.
