Govt likely to offer 30-40% subsidies for NCR industries to curb pollution

The Centre is likely to launch a scheme offering polluting industries in the National Capital Region subsidies of about 30-40 per cent to install air pollution control devices, with units bearing the rest. Reported to be worth ₹600 crore, the scheme would not need Cabinet approval as its outlay is below ₹1,000 crore. It comes as authorities step up anti-pollution measures ahead of winter.
