Govt expands ALMM to solar ingots, wafers to boost domestic manufacturing

The Government of India has expanded the Approved List of Models and Manufacturers (ALMM) to include solar ingots and wafers under a new List-III framework effective June 1, 2028. The move aims to boost domestic solar manufacturing, reduce import dependence, and strengthen supply chains, supporting India’s clean energy targets of 500 GW non-fossil fuel capacity by 2030.
