Govt considering easing FDI norms in defence sector for overseas investors

The Indian government is considering easing foreign direct investment (FDI) norms in the defence sector to attract more overseas investors and strengthen domestic manufacturing. Stakeholder consultations are underway, with the current policy allowing up to 74% FDI through the automatic route.
