FTA could open new aven­ues for auto­mobile industry

The Indian automobile industry has welcomed the India–UK Free Trade Agreement, calling it a major step toward expanding global collaboration and competitiveness. The pact will reduce tariffs on automotive imports from 110% to 10% in phases and introduce quota-based access for both markets. It is expected to boost exports of Indian EVs to the UK while opening new opportunities for manufacturers under the “Make in India for the world” framework.
