India’s energy storage sector is set for a breakthrough as the Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) awards solar-plus-storage projects totaling 1,200 MW of solar and 600 MW/3,600 MWh of battery storage. Notably, the projects require a six-hour peak power supply, marking a significant advancement in battery energy storage systems (BESS) capabilities.
