Emami Agrotech enters packaged snacking market, plans to invest ₹750 crore

Emami Agrotech has entered India’s ₹50,000-crore packaged snacking market with its new “WeMe” brand, targeting younger consumers including Gen Z and Millennials. The company plans to invest around ₹750 crore over the next three years to expand its snacking and staples business. Currently outsourcing production of chips, Choco Hazelnut Spread and Jhuri Aloo Bhaja, Emami plans to establish an integrated greenfield manufacturing plant in West Bengal within two years.
