Distillers welcome move to allow vehicles to run on up to 100% ethanol

India is planning a major maritime expansion with an investment of around ₹51,000 crore to add 62 vessels, including crude oil tankers, LNG carriers, and container ships, to its national fleet. The initiative aims to strengthen energy security, reduce dependence on foreign shipping, and improve supply chain resilience amid global disruptions.
