Daimler India to invest ₹4,000 crore in Tamil Nadu to expand BharatBenz operations

Daimler India Commercial Vehicles plans to invest around ₹4,000 crore in Tamil Nadu to strengthen BharatBenz operations, taking its cumulative investment in India beyond ₹14,500 crore. The investment will support product development, manufacturing, R&D, infrastructure and future technology capabilities. The Oragadam facility near Chennai will play a key role, with the expansion expected to create around 400 jobs and further strengthen India’s position in Daimler Truck’s global manufacturing network.
