critical minerals weigh on feasibility of incentive plan
The Union Cabinet has approved a ₹1,500 crore Incentive Scheme under the National Critical Mineral Mission to boost recycling of e-waste, spent lithium-ion batteries, and other scrap. The scheme aims to enhance domestic capacity for extracting critical minerals, encourage wider participation across the recycling value chain, and strengthen supply chain sustainability, with incentives of up to ₹50 crore for large recyclers.
