India’s first Telecom Manufacturing Zone (TMZ), planned in Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh, will function as an extension of the existing Production-Linked Incentive (PLI) scheme, Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia said. The zone is expected to attract ₹10,000–12,000 crore in investments across two phases, focusing on 5G and 6G equipment, semiconductors and optical fibre, with incentives of around ₹7,000–8,000 crore for participating investors.
