CM Vijay launches Tamil Nadu Semiconductor Ecosystem Scheme 2026

Chief Minister C. Joseph Vijay launched the Tamil Nadu Semiconductor Ecosystem Scheme 2026 in Chennai. It offers two incentive tracks: extra support for projects approved under the Centre’s Semicon India Programme 2.0, including 25% of eligible capex for 300-mm wafer fabs, and customised incentives for other strategic projects. Firms must hire at least half their direct workforce locally, and proposals are due to Guidance Tamil Nadu by 30 September 2027.
