CII seeks reforms in construction approval process to speed up infra development

CII has called for reforms in India’s construction approval process to accelerate infrastructure development. Recommendations include a technology-driven single-window system, online plan amendments, conditional approvals, and standardized design templates. The industry body also proposed flexible norms for industrial plots and a National Construction Permitting Reform Index to enhance transparency, efficiency, and investor confidence nationwide.
