Centre releases ₹109 crore for Vellore, Neyveli and Salem airports under UDAN
The Centre has released ₹109 crore for the development of Vellore (₹59 crore), Neyveli (₹26 crore), and Salem (₹24 crore) airports in Tamil Nadu under the UDAN regional connectivity scheme. With 68 routes awarded in the state and 26 operational so far, the funding aims to enhance infrastructure and improve air connectivity in underserved regions.
