Centre launches smart warehousing system to monitor real-time operations via AI
The Union Government has launched a Smart Warehousing System across 216 Central Warehousing Corporation facilities to enable real-time monitoring of grain storage using Artificial Intelligence and advanced technologies. Inaugurated by Food Minister Pralhad Joshi, the initiative aims to improve transparency, prevent diversion of Public Distribution System (PDS) food grains, and strengthen storage efficiency. The system is also expected to enhance food security and modernise India’s public food supply chain infrastructure.
