CEAT expands Chennai plant to boost premium tyre production for India, global markets

CEAT Limited has expanded manufacturing capabilities at its 163-acre Sriperumbudur plant near Chennai across passenger car and SUV, commercial vehicle and two-wheeler tyres. The plant now makes the SportDrive SUV ZR22, making CEAT the first Indian tyre maker to produce 22-inch tyres domestically, along with seven advanced truck and bus radial sizes. The expansion targets premium demand in India, Europe and North America.
