Cabinet nod for 2 more semiconductor units worth ₹3,900 crore

The Union Cabinet has approved two new semiconductor manufacturing projects in Gujarat with a combined investment of ₹3,936 crore under the India Semiconductor Mission (ISM). The facilities, to be established in Dholera and Surat, include India’s first commercial Mini/Micro-LED display plant based on GaN technology and a semiconductor packaging unit. The projects are expected to create over 2,230 skilled jobs and strengthen India’s growing semiconductor ecosystem, taking total approved ISM projects to 12.
